§ LESafety Disclaimer
SiteRisk is decision support. Not an official warning.
SiteRisk provides weather-based decision support for outdoor operations — construction sites, field service crews, and other teams whose work is governed by the sky. The information presented in this product is not, and must not be treated as, an official severe weather warning, watch, or advisory.
SiteRisk is not a substitute for official warnings.
Official severe weather information is issued by national meteorological services. In the United States, that is the National Weather Service (NWS). When NWS or your local emergency authority issues a warning, watch, or advisory, defer to it — regardless of what SiteRisk shows. Your local authorities have legal standing and last-mile situational awareness that no forecast product replaces.
Forecasts are uncertain.
SiteRisk synthesizes forecast data from NOAA, ECMWF, and other public weather models. Every forecast carries uncertainty, and that uncertainty grows with lead time. SiteRisk surfaces uncertainty where it can — through ensemble agreement, extreme forecast indices, and probability bands — but it cannot eliminate it. A confident forecast is still a forecast.
You make the call.
SiteRisk's recommendations — defer pour, stand down crew, window opens 11:00 — are decision support, not directives. The decision to mobilize, defer, evacuate, or continue work always belongs to the qualified person on site. SiteRisk does not assume responsibility for any operational outcome that results from acting on, or declining to act on, information presented in the product.
Life-safety situations.
In any situation involving immediate risk to life — active lightning, tornado, flash flood, wildfire, or other emergency — call 911 (or your local emergency number) and follow the instructions of emergency authorities. Do not wait for or rely on a forecast product. SiteRisk is not designed for, and must not be used as, an emergency notification system.
Coverage and availability.
SiteRisk depends on third-party data feeds (NOAA, ECMWF, and others) and may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or out of date during outages of those upstream sources. Do not plan critical operations on the assumption that the service, or any specific data point within it, will be available at any given moment.
